4 Fantastic Fish slot Big Win June 2022
4 Fantastic Fish is a new release from developer 4ThePlayer, and it lives up to its name by paying fantastic prizes to its players. On June 4, a gambler playing with a bet of £1 per spin turned lucky to win over 10,000x the stake, all by simply catching the right ‘fantastic fish’.
The player landed 3 Scatters on the reels and triggered the Respins bonus.
It wasn’t that fruitful at the start though, as the player failed to unlock extra reels and made slightly over £30.
However, everything changed when the Ultra Jackpot prize landed on reel 6, which awarded £10,000.
By the end of the feature, the total win made £10,039.50.
4 Fantastic Fish Review
We don’t mind more competition in the popular fishing slot genre to be honest, and especially not when developers pour enough effort into the production to create something fresh, innovative and unique. 4ThePlayer have experimented with both time travel and speed before, without seeing huge success with either concepts, but 4 Fantastic Fish definitely comes across as a potential smash hit.
They’ve managed to recapture the retro charm from the iconic Fishin’ Frenzy in a more modernized format, and you don’t even need a collect symbol to win up to massive cash fish prizes also in the base game. This is thanks to the Cash Ways system and the Big Game Jackpot fish symbols, and you also get a random Giant Squid modifier in both the base game and the streak Respins Bonus Round.

4 Fantastic Fish Slot Features
The premium symbols, consisting of tackle boxes, rods, crabs, seagulls and the fisherman, pays between 30 to 100 x your stake for 6 of a kind wins. The fishing boat is the Wild symbol, and it steps in for all regular pay symbols to help complete wins.
The Fish symbols land in different sizes on all 6 reels, and they come with cash prizes ranging from 0.2x to 100x your stake. The summed up prizes are paid when you land a winning combo of any fish size. A Giant Squid feature may trigger at random times, and it rearranges cash fish symbols which guarantees or improves a prize win.
4 Fantastic Fish Slot – Giant Squid Feature
On reel 6 only, you can land 4 jackpot fish symbols, but the jackpot prize is only won if the jackpot fish is part of a fish symbol win line. The Big Game Jackpots are on display above the grid, and you win 100x, 500x, 2,000x and 10,000x your stake from the Big, Super, Mega and Ultra jackpot fish, respectively.
Landing 3+ Marlin scatters anywhere in sight triggers the Respins Bonus Round, and all reels with triggering symbols are activated from the get-go. The remaining reels are locked, but they can be unlocked if a Marlin scatter lands on a locked reel during the feature. The Giant Squid can also appear at random times, and it moves fish prize symbols from locked to active reels.
You start with 3 respins, and only fish prize symbols or blank positions will appear during the feature. Fish prize symbols become sticky, and each new fish symbol resets the respins tally to 3 again. A full reel of sticky fish symbols will be cleared by a shark, and this boosts the prizes by x2. Finally, non-UK players, and anyone eligible, may purchase the respins bonus round for 60x the stake.

Review Summary
We were really pleasantly surprised by what 4ThePlayer has conjured up this time, as we half-expected yet another Fishin’ Frenzy or Big Bass Bonanza copycat. Instead, the innovative developer has taken the whole concept in a different direction, and it’s kind of refreshing not having to wait for the collector symbols to land all the time. You now win the fish prizes as long as they line up, which seems kind of obvious now that the idea has been released into the wild.
The Giant Squid feature is kind of fun too, and it can connect jackpot fish wins for potentially large base game prizes. The cozy vibe you may be familiar with from the original Fishin’ Frenzy is found here too, but with a tad less dated audiovisuals. The streak Respins round is somewhat original, not least with the shark clearing reels, and overall this is a well-balanced and highly competent fishing slot installment that can compete with the best of them.
