Tiger Jungle Hold and Win Review
We see so many installments in the Hold & Win genre each month that it’s very hard to tell them all apart. 3 Oaks is a huge contributor to the ongoing trend, and Tiger Jungle Hold and Win does very little to stick out from all the others. The pace of the game is solid with the turbo switched on, and you get the bland audiovisual experience that is usually the case.
The Lotus Flower bonus/cash symbols keep being collected in a bed of Lotuses above the middle reel, but we can’t see that there is any feature attached to this visual curiosity. The Hold & Win bonus comes with jackpots up to 5,000x, as well as a collect symbol that can increase the payout from the 1-10x cash symbols. The bonus round offers tried and tested sticky wilds, and we had a pretty good run with that as you can see in our test session video below.
Tiger Jungle Hold and Win Slot – Reels Screen
Tiger Jungle Hold and Win Features
The Tiger Wild can appear on any reel, and it steps in for all regular pay symbols like wilds usually do. The Wild is also worth 12x your stake for 5-oak, while the 4 premium animal symbols pay 4 and 10 x your stake for the same. Just to be clear, the wild does not step in for scatter symbols or bonus cash symbols.
You need at least 3 temple scatters anywhere in view to trigger the Bonus Round, and this awards 8 free spins. You also win 1x, 10x or 100x your stake up front when you land 3, 4 or 5 triggering scatters, respectively. All Tiger Wilds that land become sticky for the duration of the feature, and having at least 1 sticky wild on each reel awards +5 extra spins.
The hold-and-win style Bonus Game is triggered when you land 6+ Lotus Flower Bonus Symbols anywhere in sight. The triggering symbols become sticky on a cleared grid, and you start with 3 respins. Any non-blank symbol that lands also becomes sticky, and this resets the respins tally to 3 again. All your cash symbols are summed up if you run out of respins, or if you fill the screen with non-blank symbols. Cash symbols are worth 1 to 10 x your stake.
Filling the screen also awards the Grand Jackpot worth 5,000x your stake. You can land Mini, Minor and Major jackpot symbols as well, and these are worth 20x, 50x and 150x your stake, respectively. Special Collect symbols can also land, and these collect all cash symbol values currently present on the grid onto themselves.
The 200 Spins Tiger Jungle Hold and Win Experience
Nothing overly exciting happened until we triggered the hold & win bonus game, and this happens at 0:58 into the 5:27-minute highlights video. We skip to the free spins round right after, and that turned out to be a far more lucrative affair. We got plenty of sticky wilds, and they generated solid payouts again and again. Review Summary
Booongo keeps churning out new installments in their rapidly growing Hold and Win range, but Tiger Jungle Hold and Win does not contain any surprises or innovative efforts. The sticky wilds bonus round is very hit or miss, as you can see in our highlights video above. Rack up a solid number of wilds early on, get the +5 extra spins, and you can easily land one solid payout after another.
Land close to zero sticky wilds however, and the feature will bare its volatile teeth for you. The Hold and Win feature is very standard stuff, but the Collect symbol can help you out a bit on occasions. The 5,000 Grand Jackpot is solid enough, but 300x is the most you can win from a single spin at any stage in the game. Since 13 free spins is the most you can get, that leaves you with a 3,900x potential for the bonus round.
Pros
- S w/ sticky wilds and extra spin bonus
- Hold & Win w/ jackpots and Collect symbol
- Grand Jackpot pays 5,000x your stake
Cons
- Single spin max win is only 300x
- Nothing new to see here
- Undisclosed RTP and volatility
