Super Marble Review

3 Oaks are a studio that seems to be on a mission to provide us with a steady stream of Hold and Win releases. It’s fair to say that they are typically completely fine, and that they hardly disappoint. There are rarely any innovations in the mix, however, and that is the case with the Super Marble slot as well. It comes with one small special bit in its Hold and Win feature, but, aside from that, it’s rather rough and bare. Its playing field is entirely standard, too, offering a combination of 5 reels, 3 rows and 25 winlines.

Frankly, the designers didn’t have to do a lot to create the graphics for Super Marble. It’s a fruit slot by trade, and its special Marble symbols don’t look special at all. In fact, we would go so far as to say that the game’s production values are slightly below average.

Super Marble

Super Marble Slot – Reels Screen

Mathematically, Super Marble is a medium volatility slot, and its Grand jackpot clocks in at 1,000x your bet. Its betting range starts at £0.25, while high rollers can go directly for the £60 max bet. The theoretical RTP of Super Marble is then rather low as well, as it stands at 95.38%.

Super Marble Slot Features

There are 8 pay symbols in Super Marble, and you can look forward to 4 low pays and the same number of high pays. For the former, there are card ranks from Jacks to Aces. These symbols pay the same, which means 2x your bet for a complete combination. For high pays, Super Marble offers oranges, plums, melons and bells. Bells offer the best payouts, and you’ll get 10x your stake for a set of five.

For special symbols, Super Marble has Dice Wilds and Marble Bonus symbols, which is a combination that’s on offer in plenty of 3 Oaks slots. Dice Wilds are straightforward, as the only thing they do is that they substitute for other symbols.

Super Marble Hold and Win

Super Marble Slot – Hold and Win Feature

To trigger the Hold and Win feature, which is what the Super Marble slot is all about, you need to find 6 or more Marble Bonus symbols in view. That will give you 3 respins, and each new symbol that lands will reset your respins counter back to 3. As always, the feature ends once you run out of respins or fill the entire board.

The values of standard Marble Bonus symbols can be as high as 16x your bet, but you can also find Jackpot Marble Bonus symbols, which can grant you the Mini jackpot and the Minor jackpot. These jackpots are worth 20x and 50x your stake, respectively. If you manage to fill the entire board with specials, you’ll grab the Grand jackpot, which is worth 1,000x your bet.

The aforementioned twist comes in the form of special Super Marble symbols. They can appear only during the Hold and Win feature, and they gather all visible values (except jackpots) for a nice payout. You can even get more than just one Super Marble symbol in one feature trigger.

Review Summary

Honestly, Super Marble is an incredibly hard sell, as we don’t quite know what its target audience is supposed to be. For fans of Hold and Win slots, there are many better slots out there, offering better themes and even free spins. For fans of fruit slots, meanwhile, Super Marble might be too complex and just not their cup of tea. It’s not an objectively good game, either, as its math model leaves a lot to be desired.

Pros

  • Hold and Win feature with 3 fixed jackpots
  • Super Marble symbols can be surprisingly valuable

Cons

  • RTP only 95.38%
  • Subpar production values
  • Just not interesting enough
