In our opinion, if a developer is going to go down the “Egyptian road”, then it is essential they do something wow when it comes to bonus features and graphics to stand out from the overcrowded competition.

Free Spins
The main bonus feature of this slot is the Free Spins with a special expanding symbol. When 3 or more Book symbols land in the base game, it awards 12 Free Spins. When the feature begins, a book appears and rotates through the various symbols until it stops on a symbol, and it becomes the special expanding symbol for the 12 spins. Each time at least 3 of the special symbols land during the session, the symbols expand over their entire respective reels. The special symbols don’t need to be adjacent to each other for them to expand. Review Summary
The theme is exhausted and, in our opinion, any game developer who goes with an Egyptian theme really needs to create something spectacular, not just in appearance but in features too. Unfortunately, Book of Sun does not achieve either of these. The graphics are so generic and boring, and in terms of features, the Free Spins with a special expanding symbol is not much to get excited about. There are no multipliers or mini bonus games or anything for that matter that will make playing this game memorable. One other major criticism that makes gameplay awkward is the reel animations. The reels spin for 2 seconds and then all stop abruptly, almost like someone slammed on the brakes. While this might seem trivial, it makes the experience somewhat uncomfortable, and Booongo could have made this a little more elegant. Overall Book of Sun is okay, not great, and not terrible. If you’re into Egyptian inspired slots then Book of Sun could very well be your cup of tea.
