Blood Rage Review
1x2gaming have been around for quite a while now, and we would even dare to say that they are one of the most experienced studios on the market. Vampire-themed slots have always been popular, so it’s no wonder that we’re now getting another one in the form of Blood Rage. It’s a pretty comprehensive experience, too, focusing on just one real gameplay feature in its free spins. We’ll explain everything further below, though – for now, it suffices to say that the action takes place across 5 reels, 3 rows and 243 ways to win.
The vampire theme of Blood Rage is on show right from the start, and there are some nice symbol designs on offer in this package. Despite that, the overall production values are hardly impressive, and you wouldn’t be able to tell that this is actually a 2022 release by looking at it. It’s nothing bad, don’t get us wrong, but it’s below what we would like to see.
Blood Rage Slot – Reels Screen
The mathematical model of Blood Rage comes with a medium-high volatility level, and its jackpot is 3,100x your bet. The least that you can play for is £0.20, while high rollers can go straight for the max bet of £200 per spin, which should please basically everyone. Unfortunately, the available RTP values of 88.09% and 95.05% are nothing to write home about.
Blood Rage Slot Features
There are 11 pay symbols in Blood Rage, and it’s possible to divide them into 6 low pays and 5 high pays. For low pays, there are card ranks from Nines to Aces. For high pays, there are witches, bats, werewolves, and two vampire characters. The male vampire character symbols pay even in sets of just two symbols, which is a nice detail.
Aside from pay symbols, there are also Heart Wilds and Dark Portal Scatters. Heart Wilds can substitute for other symbols to complete winning combos, but they can’t appear on reel 1.
Blood Rage Slot – Free Spins Feature
Land 3, 4, or 5 Dark Portal Scatters to trigger the Free Spins feature with 8, 12, or 16 free spins, respectively. Activating the feature with 4 or 5 Dark Portal Scatters removes one or two low pays from the reels, and there are some other details as well. For example, you can get stacks of Heart Wilds during free spins, and you can also land more sets of Dark Portal Scatters to remove even more low pays from the reels while getting more free spins.
Review Summary
All in all, Blood Rage is a pretty straightforward vampire-themed slot that might not be particularly inspiring, but that can be fun for a while, especially if you manage to get to its free spins quickly enough. Its production values are hardly great, though, and its mathematical model also leaves something to be desired.
